My magazine front cover will contain a masthead, a main image which will be a medium close up shot, a bright colour scheme with a house-style of two colours, images to highlight the content of the magazine. It will also have photo captions to accompany the smaller images on the front cover. As the magazine is a college one it will not have a price as it will be free. There will also be a sub-heading matching one of the articles headlines to entice the readers. Finally, the picture on the front of the magazine will relate to the main article in the magazine with a large caption accompanying it.
A publisher would not be responsible for a college magazine. It will more likely be produced by the college, for the college. It could even be produced by a group of students as an extracurricular activity.
The magazine will try to convey a positive message and try to encourage hard work. It will however also come across to be fun and not boring. As the target audience is the college students it will be aimed at teenagers and because it’s written by other students it will not be as stereotyped but more realistically targeted at them.
The representation of the college will be a positive outlook. It will depict a college that is hard-working but also a fun environment. It will be a fairly conventional magazine but won’t be over-stereotypical as the magazine will be made by students of the college.
